Member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc., and The Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, Inc.

The Oceanside Garden Club was established in 1941 to spread the knowledge and love of gardening, to beautify our home grounds and our community, and to encourage the preservation of natural resources. Our members include residents of Oceanside and surrounding Long Island communities.

We have 8 regular meetings and one fund raiser during the year. Our meetings frequently include guest speakers and are designed to educate our members and the community in the fields of horticulture, conservation, artistic flower arranging, and landscape design.

Ongoing projects include:

  • Annual Arbor Day tree planting at a location in the community of Oceanside, Baldwin or Rockville Centre
  • Garden Therapy
  • Bulb Planting with local children
  • Planting & Maintaining plantings at the Oceanside Schoolhouse Green
  • Donations for: World Gardening, Nature Conservancy, and Clark Botanical Gardens

Regular Meetings: Second Tuesday of Each Month, 7 P.M.
